Notes
- All masonry shown on this sheet to be second class concrete unless otherwise stated.
- All top inner edges of lock walls to be finished as follows:
- Edges of gate recesses, parapets on stairways and approach walls to be rounded to a radius of three inches.
- In lock chamber from gate recess to gate recess, edges to be rounded to a radius of six inches.
- All other exposed edges of concrete to be rounded to a radius of two inches.
- Vertical joints to be spaced not over forty feet.
- For detail of vertical joints see sheet #9.
- Length of round piles to be determined by test driving according to specifications. Piles on this sheet to be of class B
- Sheet piling to be made of 3-3" plank fastened by 3/8" wire spikes 10" long clinched, in two rows, staggered and not more than two feet apart in each row, with one extra spike at top. The lower end of each pile shall be sharpened and chamfered for close driving.
