This plat includes two detail sections: Detail of Buffer Beam Recess and Detail Showing Metal Reinforcement

- Length of Piles to be determined by test driving as per specifications.
- Sheet Piling to be 3-3" plank as shown on sheet #9.
- All round Piles to be driven as per class "B"
- All sheet piling to be driven as per class "A"
- All round piles indicated thus [symbol] to have notched heads
- All round piles indicated thus [symbol] to extend 6" into concrete.
- All other piles to extend 18" into concrete.
- All metal reinforcement shall be of deformed bars of minimum cross sections given. The size and spacing of bars may be changed slightly provided the total net section of steel remains unchanged.
- No concrete shown on this sheet to be classed at "Reinforced Concrete".
- In row of sheet piling across Lock at Sta. 1255+07 there shall be a 2" hole for every 4 square feet of sheet piling.
- The bases of structures shown on any of the plans of this contract shall be considered as approximate only, and may be ordered by the State Engineer in writing to be at any elevation and of any dimensions necessary to give a proper foundation.
- If the material at the base of the structure is suitable to withstand the load of the walls and floor without a pile foundation, the piles may be omitted if so ordered by the Engineer.
