Rev. John Parry, born 1639, died June 29, 1714. He was rector of Somerville parish, Aston, England, for fifty-four years. He married Rebecca, daughter of Thomas Fulwood, Esq., who died July 1, 1709, aged seventy-one years, having five children.
(II) Joseph, son of Rev. John and Rebecca (Fulwood) Parry, was born about 1680, died 1763. He married and had issue.
(III) Joseph (2), son of Joseph (1) Parry, born about 1723, died 1798. He married and had issue.
(IV) Joseph (3), son of Joseph (2) Parry, was born October 1, 1794, in England. He came to America in 1832, and died June, 1879. He married Eliza, daughter of John and Mary (Holden) Elliott, April 5, 1819. She was born October 27, 1795. John Elliott was born January 20, 1763, his wife Mary February 8, 1767. Joseph Parry married (second), September 24, 1839, Mary Louisa Ives. Children:

- Sarah Louisa, born October 25, 1844;
- Emma Clarissa, April 15, 1848.
(V) John E., son of Joseph (3) and Eliza (Elliott) Parry, was born in Gloucestershire, England, 1822, died May 13, 1859. He came to America with his parents about the year 1832. They settled first at Fort Miller, New York, later at Sandy Hill, where his father was pastor of the Presbyterian church. John was educated at Union College, New York; he was admitted to the bar, and became associated with Judge Wait, under the firm name of Wait & Parry, at Fort Edward, New York, the senior member being Hon. A. Dallas Wait. Mr. Parry after a few years abandoned law for the lumber business, in Washington county, where he became well known and prominent. He married, October 3, 1855, Hannah Elizabeth, of Argyle, daughter of Ransom and Hannah (Proudfit) Stiles. Children:
- Susannah, born August 17, 1856, married H. B. Keene, of New York City;

(VI) John E. (2), son of John E. (1) and Hannah Elizabeth (Stiles) Parry, was born at Fort Edward, Washington county, New York, February 8, 1858. He was educated in the public schools of Sandy Hill and attended Union College. At an early age he entered the Sandy Hill National Bank. In 1879 he removed to Glens Falls to take a position in the National Bank of Glens Falls. He has risen through successive promotions and is now cashier of that institution. He is interested in church work, having held the office of vestryman, and is now warden of the Episcopal Church of the Messiah. He married, April 28, 1886, Nathalie, daughter of Nathaniel and Lydia (Kingsley) Groesbeck, of Fort Ann, New York. Children:
