This old Schenectady district farm house stands today at Rotterdam Junction, five miles west of Schenectady, exactly as built 255 years ago, with the exception of the small addition shown in the picture. An adjoining building was used as slave quarters for over 150 years, up to the abolishment of slavery in New York State in 1827.
