Alternate Design to be used if Directed by Engineer

The alternate sections here shown for floor and foundations of side walls shall be used if so directed by the Engineer. In the alternate plans, piles will not extend into concrete except as shown. The center of the outside bars in both top and bottom of floor shall be 4" from the surface of the concrete. If these alternate plans are used in construction, imbedded steel will be required in the floor of the main culverts at the inlet and outlet of the same. Supplementary detail plans showing all imbedded steel will be provided.
