This stone gateway, on the Mohawk Turnpike, was the gift of the St. Johnsville Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. The park is a memorial to the soldiers and sailors who went out from St. Johnsville to fight in America's wars, from the Revolution to the World War. Motorists are invited to the park which provides free parking space. Photo by courtesy Lou D. MacWethy, "Enterprise-News," St. Johnsville.
