Home of Owen D. Young, Van Hornesville

On the famous Otsquago Trail (from Fort Plain to Otsego Lake), 12 miles south from Fort Plain. Mr. Young (chairman board of directors General Electric Co., American Radio Co., etc.,) was one of three members of Dawes Commission which (1924) prepared German war reparations plan, Mr. Young being first reparation agent general. Beautiful village park and lakelet in front of house. Otsquago Trail, one of finest main scenic touring routes, runs through the wild, picturesque Van Hornesville gorge.
