It is in the Schenectady Reference collection of the Schenectady County Public Library at Schdy R 974.7 G81h. This online edition includes lists of portraits, maps and illustrations. As noted by Paul Keesler in his article, "The Much Maligned Mr. Greene," some information in this book has been superseded by later research or was provided incorrectly by local sources.]

The Dewitt Clinton Train of the Mohawk & Hudson Railroad, 1831

This original train is on exhibition on the Balcony of the Concourse in the Grand Central Terminal in New York City where this photograph was taken. It was the first steam passenger train which ran over the Mohawk & Hudson Railroad from Albany to Schenectady in 1831. The M. & H. was the parent road of the New York Central Lines.
