Dr. Harold Katzman was born in Russia, on the 4th of July, 1895, but when a lad of ten years left that country to join his brother, Hyman Katzman, in Utica, New York. In the acquirement of an education he attended the grade and high schools of this city and subsequently spent two years as an art student in Columbia University. He entered McGill University of Montreal, Canada, which institution. conferred upon him the degrees of M. D., C. M. in 1922. The same year he became an interne in the City Hospital of Buffalo, while later he served as resident physician in the Seaside Hospital on Staten Island and resident surgeon of New York Lying-In Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital of New York.

It was in April, 1924, that Dr. Katzman began the practice of medicine and surgery in Utica, where he has already built up a patronage of extensive proportions. He is a member of the Oneida County Medical Society and the American Medical Association and is a fellow of the American Medical Association. He is a member of Zeta Beta Tau, a Greek letter fraternity. Dr. Katzman has become favorably known in Utica and has manifested the interest of a good citizen in affairs touching the welfare and progress of his community, although he has at all times made his professional duties the foremost thing in his life and by close study and practical experience is constantly broadening his knowledge and promoting his skill.
