Among the rising young representatives of the medical profession in Utica is numbered Dr. Giles Osborn Gardner, who has been accorded a growing patronage during the three years of his practice here. He was born in Clayville, Oneida county, New York, on the 21st of September, 1893, his parents being Leonard Gilbert and Emma Adelle (Giles) Gardner of that place. He attended the grammar and high schools of Haverhill, Massachusetts, in the pursuit of an education and received his professional training in the Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia, which conferred upon him the degree of M. D. in 1920. He was afterward an interne in the Utica Homeopathic Hospital until the 1st of August, 1921, when he opened an office for the general practice of medicine and surgery in Utica, where he has remained continuously since. Through his membership in the New York State Homeopathic Society and the National Homeopathic Society he keeps in touch with the most advanced methods, discoveries and theories of the science of medicine and correctly applies his knowledge to the needs of his patients. Dr. Gardner is on the staff of the Utica Homeopathic Hospital and is visiting physician to the Home for Aged Men and Couples.
Fraternally Dr. Gardner is identified with the Masonic order, belonging to Liberty Lodge, F. & A. M. He is also a member of the Utica Homeopathic Club. His many admirable personal qualities have enabled him to make and retain a large circle of stanch friends.
