Frederick Bentley Brewer, a well known young business man and native son of Utica, is the representative of the National City Company here and in several counties adjacent to Oneida. He was born on the 30th of March, 1895, a son of the late Dr. Frederick Homer and Abbie Louise (Bentley) Brewer. Frederick B. Brewer attended the Utica Free Academy and subsequently matriculated in Colgate University, from which institution he was graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in 1916.
Prior to becoming identified with the National City Company, Mr. Brewer was employed as a salesman by the Goodrich Rubber Company and by the National Surety Company of New York. The National City Company, affiliated with the National City Bank of New York city, is engaged in the distribution of high-grade bonds and a few selected preferred stocks. Both institutions are well known to investors and financial institutions throughout the world. Mr. Brewer served in the navy during the period of the World war.
