Schenectady County, New York in World War I

6000 Schenectady residents served in this war. (This is presumed to be the entire county.)

200 Schenectadians were killed in World War I.

The first Schenectady serviceman killed in World War I was Trudeau Loomis. His ship was torpedoed by a submarine in November 1917. Trudeau Loomis was in the Navy.
