This 1866 map from the Beers atlas shows a portion of the Village of Scotia (including Reesville), with numerous surnames indicating properties. "D.F.R." (indicating David F. Rees) has been marked. Guises, Vares and Van Slyck's Island in the Mohawk River are shown.
