As noted by Paul Keesler in his article, "The Much Maligned Mr. Greene," some information in this book has been superseded by later research or was provided incorrectly by local sources.]

Baron von Steuben Statue

This statue of "The Drillmaster of the Revolution" stands at the junction of Genesee Street and the Parkway in Utica. Baron Steuben settled north of Utica after the Revolution. Von Steuben laid the corner stone of Hamilton Oneida Academy in 1793.
